Themegroup on Education and Training

The Themegroup on Education and Training is working on a joint project with EGPRN on Evaluation of the Educational Agenda. Especially one of the Italian junior doctors is very active; a translation of the Educational Agenda into the Italian language has been made for this purpose. Trento 23/06/2008 Educational and Training group is working hard on a questionnaire on "satisfaction with vocational training in GP/FM in Europe". We meant it to be presented during the next WONCA-conference 2008 and possibly for being used for further developments considering its potentiality in terms of quality of our work.
I just update you on how this questionnaire has been developed. As well as VdGM, this project is encouraged by Euract through which we are in contact by updating about our progresses.
We reached a first step concerning the validation of the questionnaire by having a feedback from different European trainees/young GP through our Educational/Training national representatives and Vdgm collegues who helped us a lot.
Thanks to the efforts of Frank and the GP school of Heidelberg this questionnaire is now ready on a web based form.We are working now to optimalize it considering also the shared standards terminology requested by WHO guidelines that such a work is strictly asked to observe.

Our plan would be to involve, by filling the questionnaire, 20 trainees/young GP per country asking Europe Council members to recruit them.
It is important there knowledge of the English language is good in order to guarantee the quality of our work.
Once you contact them, by mail or personally, you are kindly asked to inform them about the aim of our work and suggest them to fill the web based questionnaire (it takes 15-20 minutes). Once sent, it will directly be processed and sent to Heidelberg.
Through Frank, I'll provide to collect the feedback and uptade you on our progresses every second week on EC forum.
Please, threat the questionnaire confidentially and directed only to the 20 trainees, as it has still officially to be optimalized.
