Responsabilities

Europe Council member responsibilities

 

Representation

· Represent your national GP organisation, as recognised by WONCA, in the VdGM.

· Represent VdGM in your national GP organisation.

Logistics

· Attend the annual VdGM Europe Council (EC) meeting 

  • If ≥ 2 consecutive meetings are missed the Executive Group (EG) will contact your national GP organisation
  • If ≥ 3 meetings within 5 years are missed the EG will contact you national GP organisation

· Respond to emails < 4 weeks of receipt. This may simply be to acknowledge receipt.

· Maintain the sections relevant to your country on the VdGM website up to date by notifying the webmaster < 1 month of the changes.

Exchange

· Seek to promote international exchanges by:

  • Appointing an National Exchange Coordinator (NEC)
  • Promoting the Hippokrates exchange programme
  • Pursuing funding sources for Hippokrates exchanges e.g. EU funds
  • Supporting exchange participants to publish their experiences

Research

· Seek to promote international research collaboration amongst juniors.

Education & Training (E&T)

· Seek to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge in the field of E&T, with the objective of improving GP training and CPD within the first 5 years post qualification as a GP.

Recruitment

· Recruit VdGM members from the countries currently not represented in VdGM

· Seek to promote GP as a specialty.

· Seek to promote junior involvement in WONCA and the WONCA network e.g. EURACT, EGPRN, EQuiP,EURIPA.
